Mine, another hemi scoop. I know there's a lot of them but they just look badass and you will not see them on another brand of car.

Man I just don't care for the mail box look, but it definitely serves a purpose.

I know what you mean, but this was the tits back in the day, I have it where it will bolt on and now run the car like this picture, which to me is a better look.

Do ya wanna touch them? Lol

I always thought that the '340' emblem looked out of line on the 'ram charger' type of hood scoop......but I guess the emblem is supposed to look parallel to the ground and not the lines of the scoop? Hopefully not a case of an assembly line worker in a hurry?!? Ben.

Hi Guys and Gals,
I dont want to steal this tread. I"ve been a lurker for a while and came across this tread. My 72 340 Duster has the hood treatment strips but no scoops. I've always thought it was supposed to have them but never really saw another Duster with a hood treatment hood stripe. I bought the car with the hood replaced but the original paint every where else. There was what was left of a hood stripe on the cowl and I decoded the fender tag 30 years ago when I first got the car and it was supposed to have the stripe.
But anyway here's a picture of my car without the scoops. Was this car supposed to have scoops and if they did can anyone send me measurments of where the go.
The car around 100,000 on it and about 500 miles on the restore which was done about 25 years ago.
Thanks for any help

I think it is a delicate balance to get a hood scoop the right size for your car. I think you have to think of the styling and lines of your car and make the scoop look like it came from the factory that way...

Wedge scoop for my 67 Valiant. I thought the lines on the scoop matched the lines on the hood almost perfectly. Just need to finish mocking it up and the paint.
