Path of electrical- goes in through green wire (first brush), goes through the rotor and out through the second brush which is grounded one way or another. Hope this helps in your diagnosis.

You shouldn't measure 0 ohm to gnd from the green wire terminal (unplugged). I would guess something like 10 ohm (1 A draw).
