Size Difference...

My question is,

With my newly bought 66 valiant it has a 7 1/4 rearend. I also recently bought a 8 1/4 to put into it.
What do posi kits cost(CND) for something like this and will it fit
The 8 1/4 came out of a 71 dart
What I have heard is that the 66 was 2 inches narrower then the later years.

The rear ends are the same width if it came from an A body. You should also have the 5x4.5" big bolt pattern on new rear end, as opposed to the 5x4" on the original. The engine compartments on the pre 67's were about 2 inches narrower than the 67 and up but the rear ends are the same width.
