slant 6 oil pressure??

hi all can some one tell me what the "correct" highs and lows for oil pressure are??
looks like i have appx 50-55 when i'm driving and appx 10 to 25 at idle.(once i have driven for a while)
if this is low.....new oil pump??
this engine has appx 88k and runs like a kitten....no smoke on start up or whelie running.
just don't want to wreck a prefeclty good running engine

The oil pressure warning light is set to flicker on at 5 to 7 pounds....
You have a couple of hundred thousand miles to go!!

10 is low. most stockers sit around 20-30 hot idle.

what oil are you running, maybe a thicker oil would help?

Sounds like your oil pressure is fine. How are you measuring it? Some methods arent real reliable.

I agree with Frank, if you are running a 10-30 oil. That pressure is fine, no worries. PS: I would not put in a heavier oil, if it is not in there now.
