slant 6 rear and 8 3/4 rear ?

hey guys i have a 1976 duster slant 6 u think for lik a month or so i can use the slant 6 rear with my 383 and 727 trans ? what are the diffrences ? thank you angelo

I used mine with a 360 for almost 1 year with no problems. You might have to replace tires sooner as they do smoke a lot!!! :cheers:

the slant 6 car will most likely have a 7 1/4 rear in it. it will last as long as you don't beat the hell out of it or hook it.

just be careful with it. the 7 1/4 rear is very weak, the spider gears are what are most likely to go. i had no trouble breaking mine behind a mild 360. NO burnouts, NO holeshot launches, especially with fat tires! save that stuff till you get the 8 3/4 under there.

alright thank you and do you think i can use the slant 6 drive shaft with the 727 or i might have to get it cut ?

You will have to either modify the old shaft or get a new one made.
