Looking for slant six flywheel. Any source recommendations?

Frank

if your going to run a stick Mcleod makes a SFI wheel. All of the slant guys seem to have the opinion that running a stick behind a slant means clutch explosions... If your running a stock wheel i could see it, but i think some had previous issues.

i have a link to it somewhere but its spendy and worth it.

Flywheel failure or pressure plate?

Will be using it on a stock 225 super six.

there is a 122 teeth gear on ebay for 55.00 plus shipping. The ring gear is pressed on.don't buy any 122 unless it says slant six. the v8 is 122, but the bolt pattern and crank diameter is different.

Unfortunately for me, the clutch fork hole is on the wrong side.....so....I'll have to make do with the old cast one.....we never got the Mopar 4sp box, only th BW 4sp box. I had to modify the bellhousing by adding 1 ear, the other 3 line up perfect, but I also had to modify the snout of the gearbox a little as the 4sp ones are bigger.
This is a RHD bellhousing for a slant 6.

.

I didn't know a slant six could spin that fast, I'm sure there's a handful of guys running them that hard but I think the majority of slant sixes will never turn past 4000 rpm. I think the stock stuff will do just fine.

Close to stock, 4-5k would be normal max RPM. I have a 225 and a 170 both stock short block, except for a cam, and turn the 225 6,000 rpm, and the 170 7,000 rpm. Auto not Stick.

funny enough those seem to be the ones i hear about popping, go figure

I never had a flywheel go bang on me in my slant....used to rev it to 5-5,500 rpm....a lot.....had clutches give up, but they didn't explode either.
