I don’t really have time for build threads anymore but I thought y’all might like to see the little 225 I’m about to fire up.

Not a fresh build just an intake and exhaust upgrade from dual 1bbls and Dutra duals

225
9:1 comp
Ported head stock valves
Comp 252s cam
Clifford Water Heated 4bbl intake
QFT Slayer 450 Carb
Clifford Long Tube Headers

Yeah these early As are a tight squeeze! With 4 kids no more two doors for me, I’d love a wagon like @slant six

With the Wagons both front and Back seating areas are Just as small as your Lancer 4 door.
The '60-'62 A bodys are a stretch with comfort and Legroom for any person over 6' tall.

The wagon is nice for a bit more on the Cargo Space.

I do not have an a body '63-'66 wagon to compare it to... but the F body wagon is waaay larger on the outside and inside and is still a smallish car.. but much heavier.

I like them both.

I was imagining one with the rear jump seat for some extra room for the kids to spread out. I also had a 79 Aspen we called Kermit the Dodge because of its green disposition. Loved that tank, and it was the perfect size for me. I’m only 6’1 but hover around 270 lbs so the extra width was nice.

Jumpseat A Body Wagons/ Suburban Valiants (not sure what they called them for the lancer or if the Lancers were made with 3rd seat in '61) were only produced '60 and '61. The Trunk floor / Rear Floor / spare tire well /gas tank area on those cars are totally different from the '62 - '66 Models.

I did not know that, but it makes sense when you consider where the gas tank is.
