I'm no mechanic ... I have a fast drip of oil coming out of this circular area...

it is next to the pan near the oil filter on my 273 .....

what is this thing called...can I tighten it up by wrenching the bolt on the end of the stem...?????

there is a gasket behind it,prob needs replaced. There is a kit that has the gaskets,a new bolt, and everything needed for this repair

Just go to the dealer or Manciniracing.com for the gaskets needed.

i think that is just part of the casting? if you look it is wet further up, probably just the seal at the end of the hex head. see if the bolt is loose but either way i would replace all the adapter gaskets.

Make sure it's not the oil pressure sender/switch dripping down the side of the block or a valve cover gasket before you through the trouble. Look for the highest dry point before you come to a conclusion.

3 gaskets in the 6.95 kit, you need'm all or it will leak...

yea the gasket is probly busted . . be sure when you re tighten do not over torque i did and its not fun. . had to order a new one and wat a week to get it

and what Ramcharger said..even get a leak detector dye and with a black light you can see a trail, takes a little longer but ya only have to fix it once...
and the early 90* adapters had that raised area with the sharper
edges,,,looks like a tight area from the pic
