As if the heat wasnt enough, now im trying to breath in bondo dust AND smoke.Just when you think things cant get worse, lol.I sure hope it goes away soon,i cant stay outside long, before the old smokers longs start to hurt.It almost looks like morning fog,but its 1:57 pm,this sucks! Please pray for the folks who have lost there homes in this fire, right now its the biggest burning wild fire in the nation, and the wind is blowing 10 miles per hour were its at.There is sure to be more homes lost, more people killed by this

We had it in Atlanta from fires in south Georgia last year.
Funny, it didn't smell good like woodsmoke.
Smelled like burning plastic.

It sure dont smell like wood burning. It will take your breath away after being outside just a few mins,or it would earlier.Thank goodness for me,the wind has shifted, and the smoke is moving off to the north now.You can still see it in the distance, kinda like humidity or something. The smoke suppose to be gone in my area tomarrow, but the fire is still burning from what i hear

At the very least it could smell like burning rubber....

We're dealing with the smoke here too, in SW Virginia, some 300 miles away. Visibility down to less than half of a mile. A lot of people have complained about the smell and smoke from this fire more than a wildfire that is burining 30 miles away!

sourtown mtn wich is litlerly in walking distince from my house was on fire not to long ago. i think it burned like 40 % of the mnt to. saw the hole thing from my back yard to

but did it smell like burning plastic?I was expecting a wood burning smell from this, but it doesnt smell like wood at all.

yea but luckly the side that burt wasent the side facing my house and it didnt hurt anybody. "that i no ov"

Breath deep..there could be pot burning in them hills :toothy10:

Really...
I hope your all fine and things well be OK for you and your family. Don't need anymore sad stories on this forum!

kinda reminds me, I had some smoke in my duster 100 mm away.

Yes I'm an idiot.

was welding under the car, and I didn't take the rear seat out.

Thank god one of the pan plugs was out....I moved over a bit looked up, and saw flames. I have never riped my back seats out of my car soo fast. and yes this happend to the duster that I am working on right now...and yes it happend when I was welding my angle iron for my e brake...and yes it happend 3 days ago.

Toby, when I seen these pictures, I swear I could smell the smoke in my living room!!
Definitely not a nice thing to wake up and see in the morning!!

when I lived up in Creston BC, there was often forest fires upp on the mountain. sometimes you could smell the smoke, and get that haze, but the coolest part was at night you could see the flames in the mountains. I can say cool because there was never anyone's houses in danger. at least when I was there.
