Used to go to E-town nearly every weekend when I lived in Jersey. When I moved to Georgia, I still made it back for the Summer Nats, until they got moved.

I guess treating people who travel hours to go to the show like crapp has paid off.

I swung through around 3 to check things out. Most people had gone by then. Watched a few races checked out what was left at the swap meet and left.

I'll probably go back tomorrow around 10.

Used to go there when i lived in new jersey. The spring and fall swap meets used to be good. The yearly mopars at englishtown bash used to be good as well. Have not been there in over 20 years. I guess it all went down hill.

Matt

I spent many weekends there in the 70's with my dad and uncle.
That was a long time ago, I miss those days and fun times.

Went back again today this time around 10:30.

The Drag racing is the saving grace right now.

There were some nice cars but still the showing is light and the swap meet is was practically non existent.

Not many A's.

It would be cool if they could bring MOPAR back to this venue.

I'll bring my car next year.

It's a shame what happened to this show. My whole year revolved around this event. The last couple of years that I went (2009 was the last), the show had no backing and the people running the track was rude with a huge chip on their shoulders. Been thinking of going back but seeing these pictures I'm not sure what I would be going back for???

I think they had more cars this year then the last 2 or 3 years. There where about 40 cars racing. And about the same in the show. And it did not rain the hole week end. The people running E TOWN. are good people fighting to keep the track alive. And with all the rules and laws this state! One has its a wonder how they lasted this long. With out giving up. Most of the people here where owners & venders with used parts. I was there about 5 hrs. on sat. Picked some parts look at the cars in the show and watched all the cars test & tune. I had a good day:eek:ops:

wow.. talk about pathetic. i remember the days when the staging lane lines went all the way back tot he swap meet. and there were no empty spaces in the show or swap area. damn shame what they did to that event. i used to love that show. now its not even worth the hour drive.

I went Saturday, my 30th year in a row. Very light showing both spectators and participants. Some of the same problems as in years past, gates not open until 8, parking 1/4 mile from the event, no signs for entry lanes and confused employee's. It, for me, was better than sitting at home in front of the TV.

Hell I can find a hundred other things to do then Go to a lame *** event like that or sit in front of the TV on a day off. If those are your only two choices I feel bad for ya man. :)

I hear ya.

For me it's a 5 hour drive, hotel, gas, food and other expenses. Just not worth it.
