So I found another '72 on CL ... Opinions?

I saw that on CL a few days ago too. Considering it needs a new tranny, the seats are rough, and the the body has some noticeable damage, I'd say $500 is more than fair. It also looks like it may have been sitting there a while. Offer to have it removed the same day and I would see no problem in a low price.

Ive been watching that car, been for sale for quite a while, you should buy it so I dont. I have 70k miles auto trans out of a slant 6 1971 Duster you can have if you get it outta my garage.

Here is the deal on 4 doors.

$1000 will get you a total hunk of crap.

$2000 will get you a super nice driver.

If you are going to get a 4 door, spend the little extra.

I think the car in the link above would be overpriced of it was $300.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. As they say, the cheapest one always ends up the most expensive one. I think I'll keep looking.

Wise choice. Keep looking. Lots better out there for not much more if you consider the work you'd have to go through. Don't punish yourself. Reward yourself with a workable project. Look for a 2 door and buy the best body you can afford and put your hard earned money in the drivetrain instead of body parts. My 2 cents. Dan
