So Long Andy Griffith - Mayberry Will Never Be The Same Without You

They said on the news that he has already been buried on his family farm, just a few hours after his death, this was his wish. RIP, you will be missed.
 
i sank in my chair this am when i read the sad news on the internet,,,,knowing it was coming , I think it was just about a month ago GEORGE " GOOBER" LINDSAY PASSED away just after talking to ANDY on the phone,,,telling each other they loved each other,,,i think ANDY is the last of the GREATS from a gone bye era,,,,leaving ron "opie" howard and jim "goomer" neighbors all that is left alive from this great show,,,,

if any one lives near N,WESTERN N.CAROLINA there is a town,,,sorry i cant remember the name at this moment,,,that is the real town ANDY grew up in and was the guide lines of the show,,,,his child hood town,,,where there is still a FLOYDS operating barber shop,,,and ANDYS child hood home to visit,,,


RIP ANDY the last of the greats,,,,,
 
The Town is Mt. Airy and is located at the near the VA/NC border. They have Mayberry days every year but this year will be a sad one.
 
If you haven't seen A Face In The Crowd,you owe it to yourself to track down a copy. He was also an outstanding dramatic actor!
 
Great show and tremendous actor. RIP Mr. Griffith, you made my childhood jusdt that much more fun and every show had a moral to it.
