Good advice 72BBswinger.....except its not just that. A plenum and runners. That has a volume of 6 quarts will never operate efficiently at low rpm without help.
Ive moved on...but to re- enforce your point - By adding 2" spacers to my Edelbrock dual plane....I made 115.4 mph...3 mph more than using just the intake...so the longer straighter shot you can give them, the better.
