Confused on the 'SQ' number and what it means? Does '315' mean March 15 1965, or March 1 1965? How do you read it?

According to the link, your car was assembled on Mar 15, 1965 (see example). If I understand the decoding rules, no 1965 Mopars were assembled after July 31, 1965. They must have changed to 1966 models by then. Of course, today it seems they build cars over 1 year in advance of the claimed model year.
