I used to give $2 bills out to the youth when Kitty and I were youth directors at our church years ago for winning prizes and contests and such. Went over real well. They all loved it because it was something different.

It’s been about 5 years since I’ve seen a $2 bill. I was in a lineup to get into a show at a trade centre in Vancouver and the guy in front of me had a $2 CDN bill. I asked him how he had that and, given his accent, he admitted he was American and his bank gave it to him stateside when he asked for CDN $ for his trip. I gave him a toonie for the $2 bill.

In the late 90’s I was racing snowmobiles and was at some big race in southern Minnesota... they had a swap meet going on and I bought parts off a guy with Canadian Tire money...
I still got a few Canadian Tire bucks. Now it’s all electronic. There was a few bars up here that took can tire money cause it was worth the same at the store. Kim

Yes, u get 5% on every purchase. Today was 30X the money. A few days out of the year they have a special 10% up to 30%. Plus lots of days they discount product up to to 70% off. But that’s just on the junk they can’t sell. Kim
