Solid roller lifters, offset pushrod or no?

Im bout ready to order some lifter for my RB 440, 906 heads. How do I decide if i need off set push rod lifters?

mock it up and see if everything clears at all stages of lift .

With 906 heads there should be no need for offset lifters. I have never needed offset lifters with any factory iron head. I always grind off the casting flash that develops at the mold seams on the outside of the intake and exhaust ports as sometimes the pushrods get close to the flashing.
