Can you tell? This is the vfn fiberglass dash all ready for gauges and install in my dart.
I think it came out pretty good. Holes are for autometer pro comp gauges and dzeus
1/4 turn fasteners for quick removal. The quality of this dash is very very good. Notice the texture on the top to make it look like a real dash pad.

If you saw it in person you would swear it was a metal dash.
The mold is that good. I didn't realize how good it was till it was painted.
Somehow they integrated the top to look like it has a real dash pad on top right down to the texture, but it's fiberglass and I can lift the whole dash up with my pinky finger. Very light.

The dash is $300 US dollars, and I have another few hundred in the paint and prep, and some more in the fabrication to have the dzeus fasteners welded to cage. I cannot say that it was good value
For the 35 pounds but it costs money to take weight off the car.
              Race cars cost money. Lol

Well it's kinda like lightweight front brakes. It is all relative.
By race car standards I guess its fair but in another way it is law of diminishing returns. Some people would think that's nuts.

nice. for the gauge holes in the center, are you going to do anything to angle the gauges so they're level when mounted?

Yes I already sized the center 3 holes to use a set of the autometer
Angle rings to tilt the gauge. The rings improve the viewing angle just enough. I wished it could have been slightly more, but it will suffice. I am putting my 3 least priority electric gauges there.
Volts. Trans temp and oil temp.

Did you cut the holes for the gauges?

                      We’re all nuts, dart nuts.

Yes I cut the holes with a hole saw. In the area where the gauges will be, I thought the fiberglass was too thin and I was worried it might crack when the gauges were fastened down. I added additional fiberglass and resin behind the areas where the gauges will be.
All the holes for dzeus and gauges, trimming the corners to clear my roll cage down bars was done before the paint.

Can it be modified to accept the factory stuff? I like it either way. You did a good job on it.

I cannot say for certain as I don,t have any factory gauges, but I don,t see why not.

Here's a few more pics with the pro comp gauges installed.
I decided it would be easier to pre wire and pre plumb the gauges
and then put the entire dash into the car. Less time on my back trying to make connections. 1 wire to turn lights on and 1 wire to turn the trans temp and oil temp on so I can monitor them in the pits without having to turn the ignition on.
I buffed my dzeus fasteners and those suckers actually shine up pretty nice. I think some nice led lights in the gauges will be a nice touch for night racing. What colour do you guys think, red or green.
My delay box is red so I was thinking to match the colors.

Would that work in a daily driver? I know not really safe, but would it. It looks AWESOME, very clean. I'm in the process of molding and fitting my glove box door so it don't look like a two year old just threw it on the dash, same with the ash tray, but don't really need either, but that just looks so clean. You do great work.

Looks awesome! Smart move with the pre wiring. I think colored leds are cheap so maybe get a few different colors and bench test/try with a lantern battery.
I would think red needles, red dash that red would be cool, but maybe too much?
                                Again, nice work.
