I am sure that a member knows the answer to this question. What type of plastic was used to make the hood ornament for the 1965 Dodge Dart?
Talking about the cup part that has the silver and white Chrysler star at the bottom. I think that the cup was filled with a clear acrylic, or perhaps polycarbonate.

Tha Fratzog medallion on a 65 Dart is casted in some kind of plastic. I have sent an old one to a University to have it examed. Reason is for reproduction. I can answer more precisly within a couple of weeks.
