something not right here

so when i got my so call stock 1977 motorhome motor with 66000 miles on it so as i went to put it in i notice it had one head with somg ports on it and my 273 mainfold had the same size ports any thoughts on this

Most, if not all 77 heads had smog ports and the port outlet is a little smaller than earlier J and X heads. If the other head doesn't have smog ports I'd say someone swapped one head. Considering most all small valve heads are nearly identical in chamber size and flow characteristics I don't think it's a big deal.

ya they only have ports on one side
