"Sons of Guns" star Will Hayden was arrested on child molestation charges, according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office. The owner of the firearms business behind the hit Discovery Channel series was arrested and booked in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, early Saturday.

Because of the nature of the arrest, further details on the charges have been sealed by court order.

Hayden was released the same day after posting $150,000 bail. The reality star was also charged with "a crime against nature," said Casey Rayborn Hicks, public information director of the Sheriff's Office.

Hayden is the founder of Red Jacket Firearms in Louisiana. "Sons of Guns" follows Hayden and those who run the custom weapons company. The show ended its fifth season in May.

Representatives for Discovery Channel had no comment on the incident, while calls to Hayden's lawyer have not been returned.

Sadly nowadays to protect children as well as to prevent wrongful accusations, you need to have people around at all times.

I don't know whether he did it or not, but, just by the accusation his reputation is ruined. That is one of the biggest problems with the way the laws are. It doesn't matter if you did it or not. I have always believed that all names have to be sealed until the end of a trial.

That's the great thing about labeling. There was a case up here where a uc student was accused of raping two girls. He was found to be innocent but the school still wants to kick him out. Not to mention his name is all over the internet from the accusation.

Ask any felon about labeling. Everyone wants a felon to turn their life around and never return to prison but no one wants to give a felon a decent paying job and an apartment. Society is great!

Last year coach in MN was accused of child **** because he had some pictures of his young children on phone in state of undress. He was fired from coaching job and only accused and never actually carged w crime. It took almost year and finally was cleared of wrongdoing. He had to sue the college to get his job back though. His rep is still damaged though.

Precisely. Political Correctness run a muck. Or, perhaps, it's simply Political Correctness, in general.

Yep, once you get a felony against you, good luck finding a good job....

They are basically forced to be criminals for life...

That's why the recidivism rate is through the roof in America.

Don't get me wrong, there are a ton of people that are just plane bad or stupid that will go out and commit other serious crimes. Cincinnati just released a sex offender and he was back in jail a month later. Scum like that is a exception but the majority of people made a mistake and really want to live a good life and are not given the opportunity.

They just passed a law here in Illinois that will require a potential employer to evaluate an applicant's job skills before they can ask about criminal history. That way a felon can have a better chance at finding at job. In theory, anyway. The exception, of course, is any job in law enforcement, security, or one that requires a security clearance. The law takes affect January 1st.

Too many are falsely accused of sex crimes. Remember the McMartin Day School saga in LA? Everybody deserts an accused pervert. I know an innocent guy serving 10 yrs on a false claim. The woman in the apartment above had a disagreement with his wife (letting her dog poop on their patio) and told a neighbor she was going to "set up her husband". She called 911 and left the phone off the hook, then screamed for help that her toilet was overflowing. He came to help and had even left when the police arrived. All was recorded on 911 (faint talking) and the neighbor testified about her "set him up" statement. No physical evidence, so she changed to claiming he touched her through her clothes. Jury still convicted. Her ex-husband even testified at trial that he is in prison for supposedly assaulting her. The prosecutors love her, since she helps them win easy convictions of poor people who can't afford a lawyer. Most jurors seem to prefer voting guilty to go home early. Justice in America. This guy has since made a name for himself as "pastor" to the other convicts. He won't even be able to see his children when he gets out because a registered sex offender, and will probably be deported.

Recall all the people on here glowing about how great it was that Sheriff Joe in Arizona mistreated inmates in the County Jail by feeding them stale bread and housing them in tents in the desert? I pointed out that most people in jail are awaiting trial and are not "convicts". At that point, their only crime is to have been accused by Sheriff Joe and his men, who many suspected was promoting ethnic cleansing of the original citizens of that great state.

my wife did an internship at the childs protective agency and has since been very careful of what picture we take of our children (or what gets saved, what gets deleted and what gets send on to family)

what might be just a few snapshots of your children at the beach might be a visual stimulant to a pervert and a lot of people don't consider this

That's a great idea!
