Does the block need to have a hole in the front of the block somewhere to use the 440 in a A-body for the motor mounts?

I believe the factory 67-68 A bodies did use a special block.

So do I need a special 440 block to fit into my 1968 Barracuda? K-frame that is in the car is for a small block and I was going to use Schumacher motor mounts.

The 440 blocks used in the 69 cars were NOT special blocks. They WERE drilled and tapped in the two bosses by the oil pump. The 383 blocks used from 67-69 in A-bodies were not really "special" as they were used in other cars and before there were big block A-bodies, but they have two extra bosses that were drilled and tapped.

Schamacher's link below will help. I believe it all depends on which K-frame you have, six,sb v8 or BB. This link is for the six and sb, there are others for BB etc. Hope this helps, as it specifies which blocks work for each swap kit and K-frame. NOTE: see the Tech Tips on the lower part of the page below.
