Alot of deals go through this site for just about every thing mopar related,which is no big deal,RIGHT.Well what happens when you find a deal and the owner of the part/s does not want to do the little work involved in shipping to canada?Had such a deal for a long ram intake on this site,not a memeber but a listing on craigslist of a person selling one.So I do the email thing and contact him and buy it,but he does not want to ship it or do the paper work to ship it,could be he does not know how to read or write?So I go for option 2,call out to members of the site to see if they can help me.Well,this person stepped up to the plate,and hit the home run in my opinion.He went to the city the intake was in,1.5 hours away,using his gas and time,brought it home and repacked it to be safe,paid the shipping to send it,and waited for me to send the money to him,with a niece little bonus for him to take his wife out to dinner on me.Special thanks goes out to the one and only,TONY FEILDS for going out of his way to help me and doing the work that the owner would not.Again,THANK YOU TONY FEILDS,from mrmopartech:cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

I got the long ram here in the house and am prepping it for the 65 chrysler.It came with the pivot and linkage and choke housing sheilds,and am in the middle of doing a deal for two 500cfm afb carbs,that will be restored and installed in the next few weeks,air cleaners are a different story,the repop units are going for 460$ a set,so I am not that much of a nut to buy them,and am looking for 2 crome air cleaners to install a fram ca189 air filter into and them powerd coat them black or gold.The air filters are 9.75 inches wide on the outside,so I would need a listing for who has 1 or 2 of them that I can work with,mrmopartech
 
Sounds like fun, I don't have any filter housings, sorry!

As I mentioned, this thread is WORTHLESS with out PICTURES!!!!! LOL

Is it going in the black Chrysler? Thanks for the pictures. Do you have the long ram exhaust manifolds to go with the intake?
 
It sure is good reading a thread like this after all the "He ripped me off threads" lately. I have talked to Scott, " Mrmopartech", on the phone a couple of times. Very nice guy. It's pretty obvious what kind of guy Tony is. Good for you guy's!

Way to go Tony and MrMoparTech! Threads like this one are seeming few and far between lately.

I have some good news MMT. There's a set of long rams here right now for a FABO member that came with almost everything a stock setup should have. I need to get him a couple measurements anyway ... I don't recall seeing part numbers on the filters but they sure are vintage pieces; I'll look again and PM you if I can find anything that might help you in your search.

The filters are only a few bucks,less than 9$ each,CA189.Its the air cleaner assemblys I need,the offset units,not the units with the carb hole in the middle.Check out the pics in the post for tony,and you can see the difference,mrmopartech
 
Great thread. I love it when a plan comes together. But....you BETTER use the thing, or we're ALL comin to Canada to get you. LOL
