I HAVE a cheap ebay china "wired" backup cam, but the cable connections have been giving me fits. I'm thinking of getting a wireless setup, and with some "connectors" (like a trailer pigtail) I could easily transport it between the White Whale III (01 2500) and the mini White Whale (Dakota)

So budget, but halfway decent, and your experience?

Most are wired in to reverse lights.
Main viewer comes on with key and waits for signal from camera.

I added a toggle to turn on my reverse lamps,it was a great addition to my plow truck.

Yep like TJ said, hooked into the back up lights to trigger. I had one on my tool truck. It worked slick.

No experience but me and pops have been kicking around the idea of putting one in my race car and have it wired on all the time.
This way when I take the car down the street for a "test" I can change lanes...

Would work.
My advice is the bigger the display the better. 3-1/2” is a little small.

Well I just "chickened out" LMAO. I have a number of junk cameras, both magnet and "home security" and there are two or three I was using variously with the pickup. "Mag mount."

The display I have is cheap wired china crap, but the monitor itself works "OK"

SO..............I just spent 10 bucks on a wireless adapter setup. "We'll see" if this works OK LOL
