The lifts appear backwards only to what is commonly seen. 254@050 will getcha moving nicely.

If it has tits, it's a liabilititty.
That's a typical Jones layout, some call hemi grind because the exhaust is less lift than the intake .. ' more duration to make it up'
I was thinking how much I like the herbert cam i have .....and found a Howard's roller that's just a hair smaller than it...
The .585 lift 277/245@.050 108 lsa int center 104.

Jones is using a different lobe series
older vendors used the same series of lobes for both intake and exhaust hence the longer exhaust has more lift
Jones get's it right for both
On one of my Jones cams we used a .904 on the intake and a universal on the exhaust- lift came out about the same with more duration on the exhaust
with todays better exhaust ports you do Not want the old school 10 degrees more on the exhaust

It will out torque the 254 & I’d bet very similar HP.
Only on stock heads, no or little porting.

Then pick up a crane coated steel gear, morell rollers , some comp or k motion springs and get to tire fryin
