The air-gap copies all seem to have aluminum plugs that fit into the "non used" bolt holes holes are left open. We tried to put them in tonight and were hitting it so hard I thought were at risk of cracking the intake and stopped. I have two questions...

1. Are they actually required? Seems like a pretty useless item other than aesthetically, but I could be wrong.

2. If they are required, whats the best way to get then in?

not required...you can fill the hole with a shot of RTV if you want to keep crap out of it...

Thanks, I know seems like an obvious question, but I wanted to make sure so we weren't chasing the wrong vacuum leak as I'm told we will be later. lol
