[WANTED] Speedo gear

Looking for a 40 tooth speedo gear for a 1964 904 push button trans

I've never seen a listing for anything larger than 21 teeth.
Are you sure on that count?

end ratio along with tire size and speedo teeth count

The gear would be for a pre 1966 904 with clip and o-ring seal and I believe it is orange in color I don't have a part number at this time

Yeah, that's WAY out of the stock gear's range. Maybe you can find a drive gear to make it happen, but there are no driven gears that big.

18 is purple
19 is dark blue

Read the fine print under the chart! You need a .75 adapter for that. Like I said, contact Brewer's.

Manual transmissions as well. My 64 A903 uses the same type gear. The same year Fords use a very similar gear. I've read in other places that they are interchangeable, but I cannot confirm that, as I've never tried it. The "gear" section of the Ford gears is a little longer, but that doesn't necessarily mean they won't interchange. If they do, that might give some more options. Don't forget to pay close attention to that Brewer's chart. You will need that .75 speedometer adapter to make this work. Maybe Brewer's carries them. I don't know.

Thanks Rusty will try to contact them after the first of the year they're closed until I believe the 5th
