Is there a right way to put a speedo gear in I took mine out to check it when we changed the clutch.I put it back in but the speedometer is not working and theres a small leak from the seal. Also is there a way to pull the gear out without pouring the oil out.

There's different positions the speedo gear housing can go in to accommodate the various sized speedo gears. On the gear housing there are numbers cast into it along with a notch which has to line up with a corresponding notch or dot on the transmission case for the gears to mesh.

The little seals are a pain to change, but like the post above you have to have the right numbers for your gear. If I remember right there are two seals inside.

Yep, and this is one of them held in by a little steel ring.
The other is an oring around the outside of the round housing.

Notice there is room for two of those little seals inside the center, and we used to double them for extra sealing.
