Speedometer gear

Changed the rearend gears and the tire size. Speedometer on my 64 dart with 4 speed, with the flanged tailshaft, is way off. According to a chart I saw somewhere, I need a gear with 21 teeth. Apparently these gears are from like 1963 to 1965 and are hard to come by. Any comments or solutions?

Try looking on E-bay. If it can be found it's usually there

Year one may have new ones.

Thanks for the tips. Year One does not show anything for the early style trans and ebay has one 17 tooth gear. It's a start, I'll keep looking.

Torqueflite Patty (Pat Blais) usually has the early speedo gears in most tooth count, but be prepared....they are pricey.

I have 3 or 4 but no 21's. Be prepared for sticker shock when you do fine one

I called Brewer's and found one for my car. Yes, they are expensive.
