Spirolox for old school TRW pistons?

Has anyone replaced the old Tru loc piston pin retainers with the newer/better spirolox? What is the part number? Any modifications needed to the piston groove? I am using L2322 pistons. Thank you.

Federal Mogul lists spirolox LR261 as a "can replace the LR186" lock ring that is standard with the L2322 pistons.

No reason to replace the OE locks...all my Arias and Venolia pistons came with Circlips and I never had any issues. All Mahle pistons come standard with the old style round wire clips and they work fine, too.

The pins and piston lock grooves are machined for a particular style lock...stick with what you have...imho.
