Could anyone tell me if Spool type motor mounts are available for a 69 block. I am putting a 69 340 in my 73 Duster and it seems the drivers side mount on the 69 is a little narrower on the 69 block mounts and also has only one bolt hole to the rear of the mount? Thanks for any info.

340 and 360 have different ears and brackets on the right (passenger) side
vs. the 273 / 318 .

I keep hearing people say the right/passenger side...
It's the left side that's different that has different ears, and you can make 318 mounts work with washers or spacers...
I have BOTH 273/318 and 340/360 mounts sitting in front of me...:coffee2:

And back to question #1, you need a '73 and later K-frame to utilize the spool mounts.

69..Yes you are right it is the drivers side that is a different size and I guess a pretty good size spacer would solve the problem. As for question 1, it is a 73 k frame as that is the year duster the 69 340 is going into. Thanks for your advise...

Big "duh" on my part :eek:ops:. 273 / 318 have two ears , whereas the 340/360 have three ears : left side :banghead:

If you haven't found a set yet, I have a pair from a 1973 340 Dart Sport car I parted out. $40.00 plus the shipping. Let me know if you need them, Geof

I think some of you are misunderstanding my question. It is not the 73 mounts that I need. It is a motor mount with the ears to fit a 69 340 block with the spool mount to fit in a 73 k frame instead of the biscuit type. The 69 340 has different size mounting tabs on the drivers side then the 73 340.

Or this could be done I guess (See spacer in pic)

Because the parts store can't likely get the correct brackets for a 340/360 drivers side. ALL 340's built in that era have the same ear spacing, no difference from a 69 compared to a 73 model year.

The ones that cosgig posted are/is the one that you need if you don't want to build/use a spacer.
