Spring question

can someone tell me where these springs belong? they were found on driver side floor board in 1972 demon when car was purchased.

I've seen the one on the left, but I gotta think on it. Got it, gas pedal. Don't remember what it does.

Isn't the one on the right associated with the bumper jack somehow?

Got the right spring installed on gas pedal, still looking for place for the one on left. Thanks

Both of those springs belong on your gas pedal. The one on the left mounts to the pedal bracket at the firewall....

Is it then a retainer clip to hold the accelerator cable housing to the firewall ?

I don't really know what it does, just where it goes....
