squeaky water pump

maybe take the belt off. wiggle the pump pulley, maybe see if there's play? heck i dunno. change it.
 
tx guys..i took the belt off and the water pump will sqeak when i spin it.
no play in the shaft,spins freely doesn't leak (yet) and car runs cool.
any experience with with lube/additive?
 
I think most have a weep hole for leaks. Watch that once in a while. I wouldn't change it, unless you need to meet a warranty limit. It will either go away or fail soon. Plenty of other squeaking cars on the road.
 
water pumps are half cheap anyhow my experience is when they squeak, they will soon leak
