Yeah, seen that a fair amount lately,All of um? Sure looks like a drive hub to me. It's hollow in the center.
Well that certainly makes fiscal sense.Yeah, seen that a fair amount lately,
some manufacturers are using the same hub whether 2wd or 4wd
I'm guessing somebody figured out the price difference was negligible & stocking so many different parts cost more than just using the same components..Well that certainly makes fiscal sense.
We'll all be driving the same junk before long. lolI'm guessing somebody figured out the price difference was negligible & stocking so many different parts cost more than just using the same components..
Edited:i find it fascinating that they took the wheel off and then put the lug nuts back on.
We were shown one of those movies in high school back in the late '70s....video footage from accidents with people hanging out of vehicles or laying dead on the road. It was harsh. Those pictures should be shown in Drivers Ed classes.
It was real... Something first responders see all to often... Showing reality to kids hopefully shocks them into thinking before doing something stupid...We were shown one of those movies in high school back in the late '70s....video footage from accidents with people hanging out of vehicles or laying dead on the road. you with your ninja edit! having me second guessing myself over here!Edited:
Correction, you may be right. The wheel is on the ground in the last pic and someone must have taken it off. Weird
It was real camera footage from someone that followed first responders. I think it was called Route 66 and shot in the late 50's or 60's. I didn't forget it and I doubt it would be permitted these days.It was real... Something first responders see all to often... I seem to recall one titled "Signal 30" (if memory serves) that was pretty gory.It was real camera footage from someone that followed first responders. I think it was called Route 66 and shot in the late 50's or 60's. I didn't forget it and I doubt it would be permitted these days.
I saw those movies. They didn't keep me from doing stupid stuff. Crashes were for people who didn't know how to drive. I was invincible. It was real... Something first responders see all to often... Showing reality to kids hopefully shocks them into thinking before doing something stupid...
Some people can learn from other people's mistakes.I saw those movies. They didn't keep me from doing stupid stuff. Crashes were for people who didn't know how to drive. I was invincible.
I'm a lot more pokey these days. My Florida driver's license even says I'm a safe driver.
On my 2 wheel drive, the front bearing hub assembly has the splined hole in the center. I kinda guessed maybe for use in 4 wheel drive trucks. I never investigated that though. All of um? Sure looks like a drive hub to me. It's hollow in the center.
Lots of SRT-10 Rams were crashed early on. Such a shame. Maybe they had more dollars than sense. That's where I got a lot of parts to put on mine. A lot of the crashes did leave some good parts. Some people can learn from other people's mistakes.
Others, like the driver of this SRT-10....not so much, apparently.
I could see that. In '89 or so I bought a 4WD S-10 that someone had removed the front shafts back in the day, and had been driving it as a RWD vehicle for years (they left the outer shaft knuckle in the front hubs). Works just fine on some vehicles, and I could see a Manufactuer making only 1 hub for both applications. On my 2 wheel drive, the front bearing hub assembly has the splined hole in the center. I’m late to the party on this but yeah, the hub assembly on my 2WD has a splined hole in it so I figured it was a universal fit unit for all 1500 series trucks. On my 2 wheel drive, the front bearing hub assembly has the splined hole in the center. Nope or a transmission, probably removed it before they folded the frontend.Do You see any hint of an engine?
I was going to say that. Jump style, or off an overpass or something. That went airborne and landed very badly. That's the back half of the transmission under the passenger tire. Lugnuts ripped right through the wheel on left front. Biohazard sticker from the blood. Seems real to me. Hopefully they survived.
