Started 5.2 magnum swap/65 Dodge Dart,/6 4spd convert..but....

voltage should be 14.6 or so.

alternator is charging 16.5 volts running
when regulater wires jumpd
battery voltage 11-12volts.
Regulator, the third one purchased
doesnt seem to be working?
Drivin me nuts.
Regulator is grounded 100%.

maybe high output burning up regulator? I've got a late model alt from a 92 Dakota you are welcome to try.
