My 318 in my duster has hooker comp headers on it ($200 set).

Can a stock starter be pulled out with the headers installed with relative ease, or is the mini starter the only way?

I have been able to pull out a stock starter with the regular street headers on and bolted up. Alot depends on the maker and how well they were bent that day.

Well, I managed to shove one back up in last night (stock unit), but it was not easy and it probably will not come out again, so hopefully it functions. I did have to take apart the center link and remove the starter stud just to do that.

Damn they make it hard. I will put the rest back together tonight and give it a shot.

Headers just plain suck when you have to work on things. I have a mini starter and it's not easy getting in and out past the Hookers.
