Starter Relay

For some reason my starter relay just buzzes when I try to turn over my starter, but if I put my external starter switch on the relay the starter turns over fine. The car is a 72 Demon. Any ideas? I have tried a new relay.

OK so what year, make model?

Auto or stick?

Take your voltmeter and measure BOTH "push on" terminals while someone is holding the key in "crank."

Replaced the relay and it's working fine now, apparently the contacts were burnt.
