Starting to paint the trim

I've started paint the interior trim and I'm going with 1967 cc1, medium blue metalic. It now has two coats of base and has a satin finish. Stay with that finish or clear coat? What do you think:

Clear coat would give the color protection from scratches etc without losing color.

I am painting my interior trim also. I just left it satin black with no clear.
