Looking for a STD bore 318 la block only.

I am building a 318 and after the rotating assembly was balanced the machine shop found a crack all the way through the block.
Every block I find online is either not verifiable std bore, or is too far away and I cant get away from work to go and pick them up or blows the budget out of the water.
Thank you

Dag-gone I have a std block 1974 here in wv, $100 would buy it, but shipping would kill any budget.

I have several and pass by you most every week and could deliver.

Do you need one that is still perfect with no taper (that will be difficult) or one standard that
will clean at 20 or 30 over?

the price is a little meh, but it's been up a long time so there's probably some wiggle there. however, that's most likely all unmolested OG internals there.

here's a late 70's unit that's a roll of the dice but the price is a little better:

this is more of the same:

and here's this one:

straight VFM wise, you've got an intake, roller rockers and probably some okay heads that you can adios to offset the purchase.

i'd take a cheap borescope and see what's up, show with cash and a truck and find out who wants to party.

That is the difficult part; it would need to clean up standard with just a light hone.

I will do $250.00 delivered to you.

However, these are OLD engines and by the time you hone
them the piston to wall would be much more clearance than I
would run especially with a cast stock piston. You could coat the
pistons but for what that cost = It would be easier to buy Oversize
Pistons and balance them to match the pistons you have.

My .02 = For Free!

$250 is a little more than I was hoping to spend, (I do appreciate the delivery offer).

The whole rotating assembly is balanced and the pistons I bought new so I am already in it $800 all told so far. For what I can budget towards this engine it is just not feasible right now. Otherwise I am totally with you; Buying new pistons would definitely be the way to go for block availability.
Thank you for your .02

I am currently noodling the idea of junkyard 360 magnum that my heads will bolt to since those complete engines are more readily available and I won't care as much if I scatter with the giggle gas.
