Hey folks. I am in the process of putting parts back into the front end of the Swinger. I have not had the car in running condition since I have had it, so not sure what shape the steering box is in. It does not look like it had been leaking except from the lines being disconnected. I am degreasing and cleaning it now. I will paint it soon. Is there any way to know if it has a "problem" before I do all the work to degrease, clean, paint and install on the car? And if bad is that something I want to do or should I have a pro rebuild it? I just dont wanna do things twice. Thanks for any help.
Steering box rebuild?

There are tolerences for linear travel of the shafts. I'm not sure how much of that info is in service manuals. Some rebuild company might offer some info on what to look for.
