I need tunes in the Dart.

Any suggestions on a decent aftermarket stereo that plays CD's, MP-3's, possibly satellite compatible? A detachable faceplate is a must, decent power output is mandatory. Kenwood? Pioneer? I'd like to keep it under $200 and it MUST be user friendly, no flashing displays or video screens....I know I'll be cutting the dash and I don't care.

C`mon guys, let's get the Dart rockin!

My recommendation, LUMPY CAM, HEADERS, DUAL FLOWMASTERS.

That's been my come-back line with the Barracuda when people ask "Why did you delete the radio opening...?"

You might check out Crutchfields website, they are very customer oriented and have a comprehensive auto audio product line. A friend of mine came by yesterday to show me the JVC- CD/MP3/HD radio player for $174.00 he`d just bought from them. It was nice for the money, 20w x 4 with a 7 band eq. and provisions for MP3 players and Sirius radio. Could`ve used a sub for a little more punch, but all together very nice. Good luck hunting!

I looked at the Crutchfields site and saw a unit I liked. I had to run to the store for my wife (she's baking a zillion cookies....) and I stopped by P.C.Richards to see what they had. I bought the stereo I want for the same price as Crutchfields and the speakers I got for $30 LESS. And I have it NOW.

The radio is 4 channel rated @ 45W per. It plays MP3, WMA, CD-R, is Sirius ready, and has a detachable face plate. PERFECT!

The speakers will do fine as long as I don't get carried away with Korn or Tool.... I'll give it a listen and see if I need to add the front speakers. Just trying not to make this a big investment for tunez.

Thanks for the advice guys! I'm gonna run outside and run the speaker cables now. It's REALLY nice out today; maybe close to 50, so I'll get THAT part done. I'll install it all at work this week.

Now a nice amp in the back and your set.
I hope to get some work on my stero done today. A set of 6 inch infinitys in the door powered to 90 watts Nom. via (Very old) pioneer amp. (Old one.)
Rear deck has the 5x7 kappas and a 10 pioneer sub powred by a (old) JBL @ 150 nom watts.
