Still harping on my distributor-FIXED IT!

Well I went out to the garage and took the distributor advance plate out on the work bench. Found that the pivot stud wasn't broken but was not peened in place properly when new and finally fell out. This dist has an oil cup for the upper bushing. Here are a few pics.

Most of the cast iron Prestolite distributers were dual point units. Makes me wonder if someone switched out the plates. Anyway.... Happy moparing

I bought that distributor, in the pics, from a local Mopar dealer back in the day, about 1974 or 1975. It was boxed and unopened. I guess they were used for the dual and single point application. cudadriver
