Stock fuel pump limits

I can't believe nobody mentioned the limiting factor of the factory 5/16ths inlet fuel line. The pump can only push along what is available to it. Stepping up to a 3/8 line will make a significant difference in the amount of fuel the stock pump can pass along under load.
That is certainly one factor. To put it in perspective, 15' of 5/16" line will drop a bit over 1 psi at 35 GPH. IMHO, it looks like the stock pump itself is much more of a limiting factor when you go over 300 HP or so. With the experience related in post 15, the 1 psi output at the end of the run would have become maybe about 2-3 psi with even a 1/2" line and fittings.
