Any one know of some good stock height valve covers with thick flanges that wont warp when i bolt them down?

The simpler the look the better looking for a stock look with hidden goodies inside.

You can straighten the stock valve covers, put on some new gaskets, and then only lightly tighten the bolts. If the valve covers are not bent they will seal right up. Run the engine around a bit then lightly snug the bolts back up.

I like the FelPro cork/rubber valve cover gaskets with Permatex RTV sealer only on the valve cover side.

I use two cork gaskets under each valve cover. One is silliconed to the head the other to the stock 273 valve cover. 1 1/4 inch socket head set screws are put in the head with locktite. nuts with star type lock washers are used and are just snugged up with a socket screw driver. No leaks and easy removal for valve adjustment, same gaskets for two years.
