stock magnum rods

just tore down my engine yesterday and having it sent to machine shop to get checked and bore .03 over. i'm going with a 408 stroker to try to make 450 rwhp. i know cast cranks can safely handle 500hp but how good are the stock rods? seems like everyone gets new rods when they do a stroker motor.

if you go with aftermarket rods...scat 4340 I beams are very nice and no grinding for clearance will not be needed...
