Andy Finkbeiner ran cast iron manifolds on some big blocks he had. The cam timing was shuffled around a bit to accommodate that. Are you making similar changes?
Headers will always make more power.
The OP can do what he wants but he should know what these changes will mean to how the car performs and sounds.
I've found that manifolds often give a deeper sound that is more likely to drone.
