I have a set of Stock rods that have been shot peened, arp bolts, reconditioned and bushed for the 0.990 pin. The machine shop says I should run H beams because they are lighter and stronger. running 10.3 compression in a 440. going to see track time but also street driven.

There is nothing wrong with a set of well done stock rods that have been lighten and balanced and bushed with new bolts. For decades, stock and super stock cars ran stock rods at high rpm and lived. If you intend to run over 6500rpm for long periods,go with the aftermarket, but if it,s a daily driver that runs the street and strip once in awhile, the stock rod will survive, mrmopartech

I see no problem running them. There are alwys better and lighter options but they should do what you want.
