Any members out there have experience with the stock style sound deadener? Year One offers it as well as Summit and would like to hear real world opinions on it. I'm nearly ready to lay down carpet & would like a little sound/thermal insulation in the Swinger. I Don't have a need for full Butyl Rubber like Raamat or Fatmat & a friend has the factory replacement he's decided not to use. Please share any pros/cons. Thx much & here's some links to show what I'm referencing.

...is this adhesive coated or just lay it in with a bit of contact cement here and there?
..my original floors are acceptable and i don't want to paint or coat them with anything permanent.

If you arent using any other form of sound deadener- definitely use it!!!
I can think of no cons... only pros. Be sure to put it out in the sun for just a little while before install... will conform to all bends and bumps. Very easy to install.

Call it overkill... but I used all and it cut down on heat/noise BIGTIME in my vert!

1st I used Peel and Seal (similar to Dynamat/Raamat- but cheaper) from Home Depot
Then put down the factory sound deadener you are talking about.
Lastly- had the mass backing/jute on back of carpet
