Wow, bummer. Many a wobbly pops went down when me and the boys would listen to Tom. Got to see him live just once, what great time we had. He's at that big "Sudbury Saturday Night" in the sky. What an original. Sorry to hear he's gone.:sad6:

No way!! I can still remember my dad coming home from work in the 70s and telling me about the Moon man Newfie song. He used to play the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto in the early 70s. I finally got to see him at Massey hall in the 90s.............A true Canadian legend for sure....sorry to hear.

French fries...potatoes!Yes a true Canadian legend. My next beer will be a toast to Stompin Tom Connors....He will be missed.

tom and his family used to come and visit my neighbour in the 70s and he even played in our tiny small community outdoor rink in the height of his career for free for a fundraiser and played for over 2 hours on a very cold night.i remember them passin around the homemade recipe after seconed song.i was hopeing to see you one more time this summer tom rest in peace.a truely great and proud canadian.

I loved listening to his tunes because they all told a story. He was a great musician and entertainer...... A true Canadian! RIP Stompin Tom!!

I was never much of a Stompin Tom fan, seeing as I was always a rocker, but the man had talent and a great marketing scheme. He will be missed all across Canada. A true Icon of a Canadian.

RIP Tom, you'll be bangin that boot down on a piece of plywood in heaven now, I saw Tom here in Brantford at the Sanderson Centre not long ago and he sure had the crowd goin. I think I saw him in toronto in the 70's too, might have been the Horseshoe or Ports of Call. Or the Stevadore hang out on Queen st ( what a rough place that was) I can't remember cause that was a fuzzy period for both me and Stompin Tom .. ha ha You were a fun guy and will be missed.

I would bring his Cd's out camping years ago, everyone loved it.
I was sorry to hear his passing this morning.
God Bless Tom
