Working Ridgecrest to Barstow and the rest of the 395 (big fan of the 395) to Bishop in the summer was always cooler than far southeast to CoachellaI spent a few summers working SFV. Gotta say though, it was a cooler alternative than home at that time, Barstow![]()

One good thing about building freeways in SFV was that on Wednesday nights after work I could hop into that new Yota 4x4 pickup and go cruise Van Nuys BlvdWorking Ridgecrest to Barstow and the rest of the 395 (big fan of the 395) to Bishop in the summer was always cooler than far southeast to Coachella
SFV is a sh!thole for nearly everything (been here all my life) , right now it feels like an oven and considering its valley form. Id take clients outside of the SFV and say go to LAX, and its so much cooler dropping 99 to 77ish. its an oven right now and the dart's dash is fading like crazy![]()

man if only it was still like that. The hype is pretty much dead but mostly the lowrider community keeps it alive. SFV has a lot towards it, I love taking the dart to CPW's spring/fall flings. idk about this season hopefully pops can take it for meOne good thing about building freeways in SFV was that on Wednesday nights after work I could hop into that new Yota 4x4 pickup and go cruise Van Nuys Blvd![]()

That thought had crossed my mind
Or perhaps an avalanche at a glacierLate 70s when I was down there, the ride height impaired crowd had San Fernando Road and very seldom if ever went to Van Nuys Blvd.man if only it was still like that. Flash bangs heck yes we like them! Got a buddy even sells refillable version! Hah! When in doubt toss it in! Wait….. are we talking same thing?Morning!
Crazy wind here this morning. And nothing in our weather reports. Big bang and a flash outside, have a tree smacking power line and arcing. Wife is freaking out and im sitting here drinking coffee and typing out this post. Not much can be done in the dark with this wind.
We had chicken bingo at our local tavern every weekend. Yep same thing but man that game was fast. Chickens are machines! They would chalk out the floor inside the tavern and turn the chickens loose. They were bar tenders chickens so she also sold eggs from behind the bar. I bet they are still doing it today? What no cow poop bingo?

Wasilla, the “actual” start for the Iditarod! Lot of great memories there!Honestly the best State Fair I have been to was in Wasilla/Palmer, Alaska. Clean, great people, nothing crazy.
Are you finished digging for the day?Evening all
Yeah. But to clarify, I didn’t physically dig anything. Just supervised and helped hold tape measures. I’m leaving this to the professionals. Are you finished digging for the day?
Evening ladies and gentlemen. HO! and the rest of you. Had a good day I stopped in at the Bodyshop I worked at and spent an hour chatting with my old boss then came home and did a bit of work on the 63. Thinken tomorrow I might get around to mowing the lawn and might even take out the garbage.
Don't show them my build thread.
Well Kemper I haven't seen it but I'm sure you're doing a good job.Don't show them my build thread.
Let's just say I don't think they would invite me to the company picnic.Well Kemper I haven't seen it but I'm sure you're doing a good job.

man what a time to be alive. I see photos from locals and from different generations and off of David Freiburger's SFV video, to me its amazing.Late 70s when I was down there, the ride height impaired crowd had San Fernando Road and very seldom if ever went to Van Nuys Blvd.
