Dam one of the guardsmen shot in DC Passed. Hope the family gets treated like a combat death.......
Yeah, been following it. My parent MP unit just deployed there last week. They were a couple blocks away from the scene. Those soldiers had no chance at all.

Hopefully she wasn’t like young dumb me and decline the life insurance to save a few bucks like I did my first few years.

They allowed to carry arms WITH AMMO?
Yes. They just didn’t have any reaction time from what we are hearing.

At the risk of being wrong based on incomplete information, terrorist waited around a blind corner for them, as they went to turn the corner, he stepped out and opened fire from less than 10 feet, fired all 6 shots at nearly point black range at the pair, hit the female in the chest fire, knocking her to the ground causing her to drop her pistol she’d tried to draw, he then grabbed her own weapon while engaging the second SSG, then was shot by other guardsmen, all while an off duty Major who was out for a run, tackled the shooter, and stabbed him with a knife.

Again, unconfirmed and unofficial information based on the internal dialogue in our unit group chat. That could change or could not.

Not even talking that the other benefits of being a gold star family unfortunately.
If it’s linked to terrorism, even though it’s a CONUS deployment, it’ll be treated as a GWOT death, which should mean full benefits for the family.

Not positive but since it was also title 10, she may get Arlington as a burial option if her family wishes as well

So title 10 orders! Not 32?
Yep. And they’re deputized as US Marshalls for 30 days at a time. Every 30 days, they must redo mandatory training and swear in again. Orders range from 90-120 days for this mission.

Interesting, at least it was thought out. Not like after 911, Aerosafe was a cluster freck at first. Hows that shotgun fit your son?

Yeah. When we deployed to DC in 2020, it was title 10, but only 30 day orders. We took an oath with the FBI at the time. Issued m9s at the time. Lower NCOs received shotguns . E7s and above M4s. All live rounds. Issued SAPI plates and full carriers.

Fits him well. He just got overly excited(so did I) and missed. Thanks hoppy!

I was thinking of having an optic mounted on it but for a gun he wants to squirrel hunt with and this, change barrels , seems pointless

Nice thing with that one it can be upgraded to adult size easily.
Yep well I’m gonna head to wake him and see if we can stand the 16 degree temps. It’ll probably be me that taps out. Not from the cold per se. Ever since that neck injury last year, I’m extremely sensitive on the left side to temperature hot or cold. Never was before but i get a great deal of spasms and shooting pains in temps about 90 or below about 40.

31 degrees this morning, doe are about all I have seen moving, but this cold weather will get the doe in season and we all know what that means.

Good morning, full day yesterday preparing for the small family gathering.
